County of San Mateo Airports is thrilled to share that the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will host its inaugural “Learn to Fly Week” from May 15-20, 2023! This multi-day informational program will include FREE webinars that explore all aspects of becoming a pilot. Learn to Fly Week will cover a variety of aviation topics presented by industry experts, including flight training first steps, how to pass the private pilot FAA written test, and leveraging a home simulator for flight training. Online pre-registration is required at https://www.eaa.org/ltfweek.
Learn to Fly Week is designed to help the dreams of future aviators take flight. This event is perfect for those who are interested in jump-starting their aviation career but don’t know how or where to get started. All ages are encouraged to attend this free program. For those unable to participate in some or all of the webinars, archived recordings of the webinars will be available to EAA members.
EAA’s Chapter 20, an active community of aviation enthusiasts based at San Carlos Airport (SQL), will participate in Learn to Fly Week by providing information on its website. Learn more about flight training, aviation and aerospace career paths, scholarships, and how to join EAA Chapter 20 at http://www.eaa20.org.
